Seven bowlers shared the spoils as Shireshead 3rds bowled Silverdale out for just 69 in their league match at Clifton Park on Sunday. Aiden Wier took 2 for 11 and was the pick of the attack and Ernie Collinson’s 2 wickets for 0 runs underlined his quality. It took under 18 overs for Shires to reach their target with a solid partnership between James Sutcliffe (21 including three 4s) and Ernie Collinson (16) being the key to the ease of the victory. The Coulton and Sloan double act finished the job and ensured an 8 wicket win and 12 points.

It is proof of the success at Shireshead this season that in the four games that took place, over 40 different players were selected and played and there were three wins and a score of 223 by the seconds which would have surely brought victory but for the rain.
