Westgate 103-8 Shireshead 109-5

A David Jack six saw the firsts through to their first win of the season against Westgate at Clifton Park.

The home side put Westgate in, and tight bowling from Jack, finishing on 5-65 off 23 overs, kept the visitors to 103 in their 45 overs.

Opener Tom Jacques kept the scoreboard ticking over on a slow early season wicket, and he was supported by Joe Cunliffe and Simon Gould.

A mini mid-innings collapse was steadied by the arrival of Jack who cracked an unbeaten 48, including four sixes, and Nick Rafferty who saw the home side through to their first win with six overs to spare.
