Shireshead entertained Bolton-le-Sands on a busy Friday evening at Clifton Park.

Batting first Bolton-le-Sands scored quickly with the help of some loose bowling by Shireshead.

a young Shireshead team reined in the visiting batsmen in the second half of the innings and restricted them to 270.  Shireshead batted sensibly throughout their innings with all pairs contributing to the score.

However, an inability to find the boundary rope as several fine shots went straight to fielders meant the home side fell 18 runs short.  A young Shireshead side are learning fast, improving as they gain experience and some more wins will surely follow.
