Shireshead 2nd XI now have a 20 point lead at the top of Division 2a following a 5 wicket win and 15 points against Cartmel firsts. Despite being 82 for 1 at one stage with opener William Anderson scoring 48, it soon became Jack Cunnington show as he took 6 wickets for 29 runs in 12 overs. Simon Gould skittled the tail and ended with figures of 2 for 6. In reply, after a stuttering start Shires reached the target in the 27th over thanks in the main to 50 from skipper Simon Gould.
