Despite making 176 in their innings Shireshead 3rds lost out to Milnthorpe 2nds by 5 wickets on Sunday. Dave Sloan returned to form with 48 and prodigal sons Alex Bantleman (31) and Simeon Glen (21) both made significant contributions. Despite the best efforts of father and son Weir, Moulsdale snr and talented Tom Atkinson, Milnthorpe reached the target in the 39th over with three of their batsmen making 38 exactly.

The 3rds remain in a strong position in Division 4, in 4th place with 95 points.
