Shireshead U11s finished a great season by winning the final league play-off against Silverdale, with Ernest Collinson claiming the man-of-the match.
Batting first, Shireshead scored an impressive 278 in their 20 overs, with Collinson the pick of the batsmen although everyone contributed to the commanding total.
Silverdale were always behind the run rate, pegged backed by some excellent Shireshead bowling, and after their 20 overs they were 38 runs adrift. M. Bowen claimed Silverdale’s man-of-the match award.
This rounded off a great season for Shireshead U11s, coached by Jonty Collinson, who won the league and league playoff, were runners up in knockout cup competition and reached the quarter final of the Lancashire knockout cup.
