Shireshead 1st 149-7 (15pts), Arnside 103ao

Shireshead travelled to Arnside and elected to bat after winning the toss.  Tom Jacques (18) and Joe Cunliffe (20) saw their team off to fine start reaching 50 in the 12th over.

Runs then slowed down but there were useful contributions from Phil Bovis (21), Paul Yates (30).

Superb running between the wickets from Adam Murphy (11no) and Jake Gould (3no) at the end of the innings saw Shireshead make 149 from their 45 overs.

Arnside lost their first wicket in the third over and wickets fell at regular intervals throughout the innings.

Peter Wilson took another great catch to dismiss the dangerous Adam Richardson. Only Lee Illingworth (29) offered any real resistance as Shireshead sensed a win.

Tom Jacques took the final wicket in the 34th over., but the plaudits went to Dave Jack who bowled throughout the innings, finishing with a superb 45-7 off 17 overs.
